Man, 20, Found Dead, Death Considered 'Suspicious': Stamford Police

Police said Wednesday that they are investigating the death of a 20-year-old.

STAMFORD, CT — A 20-year-old man was found dead in the South End of Stamford in the early morning hours of Oct. 18, and police are considering the death "suspicious."

The identity of the man will not be released until next of kin are notified, police said in a news release Wednesday afternoon.

Shortly after 2 a.m., Wednesday, police received a 911 call from a person who reported a man laying on his back on the grassy area near the pathway that connects Woodland Avenue and Walter Wheeler Drive, police said

Stamford fire and EMS personnel responded and pronounced the man dead at the scene. Police are currently waiting for further findings from the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner of CT.
