Police Recover Guns, High-Capacity Magazines; 4 Charged: Stamford PD
The weapons will be forensically analyzed to determine if they were used in recent shootings both in Stamford and regionally, police said.

STAMFORD, CT — Three men and a teenage boy were arrested on Jan. 24 on the West Side after police say they were found in a car with two guns and high-capacity magazines.
Assistant Stamford Police Chief Richard Conklin said the guns will be forensically analyzed to determine if they were used in recent shootings in the area.
"This was a really good proactive effort by Narcotics and Organized Crime assisted by the Patrol Division in this stop," Conklin said. "These guns will be ballistically tested and compared to some prior shooting incidents we've had both in Stamford and regionally to see if these guns were involved."

"Through investigative techniques," officers became aware that the arrestees were in possession of two firearms with high-capacity magazines in a vehicle, Conklin said.
At approximately 6 p.m. on Jan. 24, the arrestees were stopped in a car driven by Reyes in the 40 block of Stillwater Avenue, Conklin said, noting that officers noticed two guns in plain sight on the rear passenger floor.
Officers recovered a Glock 19 9mm semi-automatic handgun with a 31-round high-capacity magazine, and a Polymer .80 9mm ghost gun, also with a 31-round high-capacity magazine.
Ghost guns are virtually untraceable, and can be made through 3D printing or through parts purchased online.
