In 2011, Brown was sentenced to 130 months of imprisonment, followed by eight years of supervised release after he pleaded guilty to one count of conspiring to distribute five grams or more of crack cocaine, the Drug Enforcement Agency said in a news release at the time. Brown was arrested in 2009 as part of a major drug investigation.

For this latest arrest, Brown was given a $100,000 bond. Authorities are seeking to have Brown remanded to custody since he was out on federal probation.
