Police: Suspect Had Crack in His Buttocks

The man from Stratford is accused of hiding a bag of crack in the seat of his trousers.

A Stamford Police officer probably wasn’t expecting to make this find when he patted down a suspect early Tuesday.

Officers reportedly pulled over a black BMW on Interstate 95 around 2 a.m. May 26 after they saw the passenger wasn’t wearing a seatbelt, according to The Advocate.

The passenger, identified as Michael Catchings, 19, of Stratford, was nervous and evasive when answering questions and when an officer patted down Catchings he felt a bump on his buttocks, according to the report. Catchings admitted he hid a bag with 3.5 grams of crack in his trousers. He was charged possession of narcotics with intent to sell and failure to wear a seatbelt.
