Rail Crossing Gate Project to Close Street in Springdale
The work will begin next week and last up to six weeks.

Residents and workers in the Riverbend Drive South area of Springdale will need to find an alternate route in the area starting next week.
Beginning Thursday, April 9, Riverbend Drive South at the Metro-North Railroad crossing will be completely closed between 685/697 Hope St. and 9 Riverbend Drive So., for the installation of new railroad crossing gates.
There won’t be any access to or from Hope Street, according to Stamford Police. The project — which is being done by the City of Stamford and MTA/Metro North — is expected to take four to six weeks to complete.
