Thomas Gerard Lynam, 75, died Feb. 27, 2026, a U.S. Army Vietnam veteran and longtime emergency room physician assistant who worked at Bridgeport Hospital and Liberation House after earlier jobs as a bartender and ER technician, and who enjoyed telling jokes, following Yale football, UConn basketball and New York sports teams, and attending horse races in Saratoga.

Michael Edward Kolenberg, 65, died Feb. 27, 2026, after a career that included extensive travel across the Northeast for work, and enjoyed boating on Long Island Sound, spending time at Halloween Yacht Club and Seaview House Marina, helping others navigate the water, cooking meals for friends and neighbors, and clearing driveways after snowstorms.
Walter Pike Olin, 83, died Feb. 27, 2026, an auto mechanic who owned and operated a gas and automobile service station and later worked more than 20 years as a foreman with CT Transit, and who enjoyed traveling across the United States, playing cards, watching PBS and Masterpiece programs, and taking country drives.

Afroditi Giannouklas, 88, died Feb. 26, 2026, after working for years at Clairol and later preparing Greek specialty dishes at several Stamford Greek restaurants, and enjoyed gardening and growing vegetables while becoming known for her cooking, especially rice pudding.
Emily (Emilia) Inzitari, 96, died Feb. 24, 2026, after a career at Lord & Taylor where she received the company’s Gold Medal award, and enjoyed dancing and hosting large family gatherings.
Thomas D. Sparan, 90, died Feb. 23, 2026, after a varied working life that included delivering for The Coca-Cola Company, owning Pro Clean Carpet Clean and Party Time Deli, serving with the Stamford Highway Division and later as a school crossing guard, and enjoying cooking, hunting, country music, watching the New York Yankees, and spending time in Vermont.
Sister Rosvilde (Rosina) Zarrello, 87, died Feb. 22, 2026, a member of the Little Workers of the Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary who served as a nurse in Italy and later spent decades teaching preschool and kindergarten students at Our Lady of Grace in Stamford after entering religious life in 1956.
Dorothy E. Holub, 73, died Feb. 22, 2026, after working more than 25 years at Clairol and enjoying time with her pets and family.
Costas Tzoannopoulos, 90, died Feb. 22, 2026, after decades working in restaurants and operating a cafeteria before later becoming known to Stamford customers as the longtime cashier at Giovana’s Deli, and enjoyed fishing, playing poker, watching soccer and Greek films, listening to Greek music, and dancing at social gatherings.
Herbert Edward Kemp Jr., 91, died Feb. 20, 2026, a U.S. Navy Korean War veteran who later built a career as an award-winning advertising creative director and illustrator working on national campaigns for major brands, and in retirement enjoyed golfing, writing and publishing memoirs, singing classic standards, relaxing by the water, and smoking cigars.
Richard Gabriele, 91, died Feb. 18, 2026, a U.S. Army veteran and restaurateur who owned Richard’s Luncheonette and Richard’s Backyard café and later worked in retail and hospitality management, while also operating a personalized bear collectible business, managing holiday photo sets for Cherry Hill Productions, and enjoying music, dancing, animals, and hosting gatherings.
