Registration Open For Kids Helping Kids 5K Walk/Run For Good In Stamford

The 5K event will kick off the 12th annual Health Wellness & Lifestyle Expo. It will also raise funds for the nonprofit Kids Helping Kids.

STAMFORD, CT — Registration is now open for the Kids Helping Kids 5K Walk/Run for Good, which will kick off the 12th annual Health Wellness & Lifestyle Expo on Sept. 9.

Founded in 2009, Kids Helping Kids is a Stamford-based nonprofit organization that helps kids develop leadership skills through youth-led service projects. 8:30 a.m.

The event, which is a fundraiser to support KHK programming initiatives, will take begin at 8:30 a.m. at Kosciuszko Park, 200 Elmcroft Road, in Stamford.

This walk/run will be professionally timed and medals will be awarded to the overall winner (male and female). The winners will be announced at the race.

Following the walk/run, attendees are invited to the KHK exhibit area on the Harbor Point boardwalk for refreshments and the chance to be entered in a prize drawing.

One lucky person will win a health and wellness basket that includes free yoga classes, a gift certificate to The Xenhouse and CycleBar, both in Stamford.

The cost to register is $45. Cross-country teams, running clubs, youth groups, and schools are encouraged to register as a team. For assistance with registration, contact KHK's Operations Coordinator Lissette Barreto at info@kidshelpingkidsct.org.
