Schools Closed In Stamford Due To Icy Conditions
After a two-hour delayed opening was announced, schools have ultimately closed in Stamford on Wednesday.

STAMFORD, CT — Due to icy conditions and freezing rain, schools in Stamford are closed on Wednesday.
Originally schools were operating on a two-hour delay, but the decision was made to ultimately close for the day around 8:15 a.m.
City Operations have been out working to treat the roads, according to an announcement from the city of Stamford. Motorists are being asked to stay off the roads for the time being if possible. Any freezing rain is expected to change over to rain by 10 a.m.

Elsewhere in Stamford, vaccination sites at Hunt Park, Scalzi Park and Cummings Beach will open at 11:30 a.m.
