U.S. News & World Report recently released its list of the top high schools in CT.

STAMFORD, CT — U.S. News & World Report recently released its ranking of the top high schools in Connecticut, and Stamford's three high schools made the top 100.

Overall, U.S. News & World Report reviewed 25,000 U.S. public high schools for its list, and 198 Connecticut schools made the rankings.

The Academy of Information Technology and Engineering was ranked 34th, Westhill High School came in at 67 and Stamford High School was ranked 91st.

According to the list, the top 10 high schools in Connecticut are:

  1. Connecticut IB Academy, East Hartford
  2. Darien High School, Darien
  3. Marine Science Magnet High School of Southeastern, Groton
  4. Weston High School, Weston
  5. Greenwich High School, Greenwich
  6. Hall High School, West Hartford
  7. Simsbury High School, Simsbury
  8. Farmington High School, Farmington
  9. Staples High School, Westport
  10. Conard High School, West Hartford

The rankings also include the best magnet, charter and STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) schools.
