Simmons Announces Recipients Of 2024 Community Microgrants
Grant awards were between $400 and $3,500.

STAMFORD, CT —Mayor Caroline Simmons this week announced the 38 recipients of the 2024 Mayor’s Community Microgrant Program.
This year, the Community Microgrant Program had $75,000 available for distribution toward specific projects aimed at improving the quality of life across Stamford’s neighborhoods.
"I want to congratulate the recipients of the 2024 Mayor’s Community Microgrant Program," said Simmons in a news release. "These organizations are instrumental in creating opportunities that enhance our neighborhoods and foster community connections. I look forward to visiting these organizations and learning more about these projects and I want to extend my gratitude to the dedicated volunteers whose hard work and commitment make these initiatives possible."

Grant awards were between $400 and $3,500 and the city received 54 applications.
The types of programs supported range from beautification projects, such as tree and flower planting, murals, traffic box decorations, educational events, and sustainability projects.
