A man found a stranger sleeping in his brother's car.

STAMFORD, CT—A cup of coffee may have prevented a suspected car thief from getting caught.

Police were called to Courtland Circle after a resident said a stranger was sleeping in his brother's car early Sunday morning, according to the Stamford Advocate.

Marcelo Visbeo-Arpi, 29, was found asleep. He had broken the steering column cover and pulled ignition wires, police said.
