Snow Parking Rules Announced For Stamford
Parking rules automatically go into effect if there are more than two inches of snow.

STAMFORD, CT — Alternate parking rules have been announced as the city prepares to be hit with three to five inches of snow Saturday into Sunday.
“This is the first snow of the season and the City’s crews are preparing today,” said Mayor David Martin. “With people out holiday shopping and at holiday parties this weekend, please take it easy while out on the roads and allow yourself extra time to get to your destination.”

As a reminder, on the streets designated below, alternate side parking rules will automatically take effect each time there is snow accumulation greater than two (2) inches. The alternate side parking will take effect regardless of whether a snow emergency has been declared. The purpose of these rules is to facilitate snow removal by providing adequate maneuvering space for snow removal equipment on narrow roadways.
When in effect, on even numbered calendar days, parking will be allowed on the even numbered side of the street and restricted on the odd numbered side of the street from 8am until 8am the following day. On odd numbered calendar days, parking will be allowed on the odd numbered side of the street and restricted on the even numbered side of the street from 8am until 8am the following day. For example, tomorrow is the 9th, so if the City receives more than two inches of snow, parking will only be permitted on the odd numbered side of the street for the following streets:
