Stamford Among Best School Districts in Connecticut: Report
Niche.com ranked Stamford as one of the top school districts in Connecticut.

Niche.com has compiled its list of the top 100 school districts in Connecticut schools and Stamford is among them.
In its national rankings, the Edgemont Union Free School District in Greenburgh, NY was voted No. 1 in the nation. Connecticut school districts ranked in the top 100 include: New Canaan, 19, Westport, 30, Darien, 73, Ridgefield, 79, Glastonbury, 87, and Simsbury, 100.

The website ranked the Top 100 districts based on various factors such as the quality of its Academics, Extracurriculars & Activities, Student Culture & Diversity, and Teachers.
According to Niche, it “ranks more than 100,000 public and private schools and districts based on dozens of statistics and 27 million opinions from 300,000 students and parents.”

A separate list was also compiled ranking the top 100 school districts in Connecticut.
Stamford is ranked the 69th best school system in the state. Overall, the district received a B+ score and there are nearly 600 reviews by faculty, students and parents, which can be read at Niche.com.
Stamford receives a B for academics and an A- for its teachers. A total of 78 percent of students are considered proficient in reading and mathematics. Taxpayers spend $19,194 educating each student.
