Stamford Candidate Profile: Margaret Feeney For Board Of Ed
Feeney shares with Patch why she should be elected to Stamford's Board of Education.

STAMFORD, CT — Election day in Stamford is getting closer and there are plenty of candidates running for various positions in town. To help residents make an informed decision on Nov. 5, Stamford Patch asked candidates to answer questions about their campaigns and will be publishing candidate profiles as the big day draws near.
Republican candidate Margaret Feeney, 37, is running for a seat on Stamford's Board of Education. Other candidates for the position include Fritz G. Chery (D), Daniel Dauplaise (D), Jennienne Burke (D), Nicola Tarzia (R), Rebecca Hamman (R) and Rolf Maurer (Green Party).
A city resident, Feeney works as head of innovation at a US global investment bank with offices in Stamford. She is also a board member for Stamford Innovation Week.

She is a graduate of Spring Hill College and received her master's degree from the University of Connecticut.

There is not one single issue - but a matrix of issues that need a coordinated effort to address. The one that I intend to focus on is ensuring we get the right technology into the hands of our students and that includes making sure there is executive leadership overseeing the management and prioritization of that.

Experience in public-private partnerships, strategic planning and working with diverse sets of stakeholders towards a common goal. Experience in Technology, Risk & Controls.

Focus on technology for the schools. This includes a 1 to 1 technology ratio for our high schools, and ensuring that there is an appointed technology leader to coordinate IT efforts across the school system.
