Stamford Company Highlighted As Murphy 'Innovator Of The Month'

Sen. Chris Murphy highlighted Stamford-based NourishedRx for their innovation approach to nutritional education.

STAMFORD, CT — Stamford-based NourishedRx was highlighted by Sen. Chris Murphy as the December "Innovator of the Month."

The company was founded in 2019 and seeks to bridge the gap between health care and nutrition through an AI-enabled platform. The platform matches people facing diet health restrictions or nutrition insecurity with personalized food solutions and nutrition consultation.

“Building our company in Connecticut has been wonderful," Founder and CEO Lauren Driscoll, said in a statement. "We’re grateful for the support and partnership of Connecticut Innovations and have enjoyed being part of UConn Technology Incubator Program (TIP)."

NourishedRx partners with multiple Medicare Advantage and Managed Medicaid plans to provide services.

“Access to nutritious foods is key to improving health outcomes," Murphy said in a statement. "That’s why the team at NourishedRx is working to better integrate nutrition with health care through their evidence-based, AI-enabled platform."
