Stamford Cops Hand Out Gift Cards To Law-Abiding Pedestrians
The initiative was targeted in the downtown area.

STAMFORD, CT — As a reward to those pedestrians who obey the law, Stamford police officers Tuesday morning handed out $10 gift cards in the downtown area as thank yous, reports the Stamford Advocate.
The unexpected gifts were donated by ACME Market on High Ridge Road, and were given to 50 pedestrians in the downtown area.
Stamford police launched the initiative to help raise awareness and combat a recent rise in pedestrian-related accidents, according to the publication.
