Stamford Coronavirus Updates: City Has 2,958 Confirmed Cases
City officials also noted Stamford has had "165 reported deaths attributed to COVID-19 cases" as of May 13, 2020.

STAMFORD, CT — City officials announced Wednesday evening there have been 2,958 confirmed cases of the new coronavirus in Stamford as of May 13, according to state Department of Public Health. That number is up from the 2,946 confirmed cases of the virus, also referred to as COVID-19, reported by the state a day prior, city officials said.
In the city's daily "COVID-19 situation newsletter," officials also noted the state's interactive dashboard that tracks cases and deaths across the entire state indicates Stamford has had "165 reported deaths attributed to COVID-19 cases" as of May 13.

The Stamford Town Center announced plans Tuesday to reopen to the public on May 20 at 11 a.m. The mall will operate under preliminary hours of 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday through Saturday, and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday.
According to the announcement, the mall will reopen on a reduced daily schedule to help meet the needs of the community and "place customer health and safety above all else."

City officials also recently reminded residents to use caution while driving on roads currently in the process of milling and paving in Stamford.
Currently, the state Department of Transportation is paving Route 104 (Lond Ridge Road) from Loughran Avenue to Route 137 (Cold Spring Road). This work will be conducted daily from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. until May 28, officials said.
