Stamford Dollars for Scholars Announces 2 Leadership Appointments

The organization provides scholarships to Stamford area students.

Stamford Dollars for Scholars (SD4S), a local organization providing scholarships for students who live or attend high school in Stamford, has announced executive committee and director changes to its Board.

The two executive appointments of current board member Scott Kuppersmith and new board member Quynh P. Goodhouse, were effective July 1.

Kuppersmith has been elected to the position of Treasurer. A partner with B2B CFO, Kuppersmith has more than 30 years of business management experience having worked in a variety of industries. As treasurer, he will manage the organization’s long-term planning and short-term financial needs.

Goodhouse has been elected to the new position of Vice President of Student Affairs. An attorney and founder of the Stamford firm of Goodhouse Law, she will be responsible for developing and managing the Office of Student Affairs. She will oversee a team responsible for all student and award recipients’ communication and interaction; school relations, and manage the awards qualification and selection process.

President Gary Freeman said in a statement, “The timing was right for establishing these two leadership roles. Stamford Dollars for Scholars is no longer a non-profit startup. As a healthy, thriving organization, we’re at the point where having solid leadership in these areas is critical to our continued growth and success as an organization that serves the local community.”

Freeman added, “It is exciting to have Quynh as a new member on the Board. She and Scott will add expertise and knowledge in their new leadership roles, and their service will provide tremendous benefits to the Board and to the overall organization.”
