Stamford Downtown Launches 'Summer Of Soccer' With Watch Parties And Specials
Residents and visitors will have opportunities to gather for major soccer matches while supporting local businesses.
STAMFORD, CT — Stamford Downtown has launched a "Summer of Soccer" initiative aimed at connecting fans with watch parties, themed events and promotions at restaurants, bars and businesses throughout the downtown area, especially as the World Cup descends on North America.
Organizers said a dedicated webpage has been created to highlight participating businesses, promotions, viewing locations, food and drink specials and other soccer-related activities taking place.
According to Stamford Downtown, restaurants and bars across the district will host match-day viewing events throughout the summer, offering fans a variety of locations to watch games and socialize.

The initiative is set to run from June 11 through July 19.
"Our Downtown restaurants and businesses are creating vibrant opportunities for fans to come together and enjoy the energy and camaraderie that make soccer such a global phenomenon," said Stamford Downtown President Michael Moore. "Whether you're watching your favorite club or national team, Stamford Downtown is the place to be this summer."
