Stamford Driver Enters Court Plea In Fatal Pedestrian Crash

George E. Christiansen was charged with second-degree manslaughter in connection with the crash that killed Lynette Wagner.

STAMFORD, CT — Twenty-nine-year-old Stamford resident George E. Christiansen pleaded not guilty in court Wednesday to a second-degree manslaughter charge in connection with the January crash that killed Fairfield resident Lynette Wagner, 59, reports the Stamford Advocate.

Last month, Stamford police arrested Christiansen following an extensive investigation. Wagner was struck and killed as she crossed Elm Street on her way to work at Henkel USA on Jan. 2.

Following the brief court appearance, Christiansen's first, his Stamford-based attorney, Lindy Urso, questioned why Christiansen was charged for what Urso states was an accident.
