Now we'd like to ask a few questions about your reasons for running and your general views on politics and government. First, why are you seeking this office?
To continue to support Stamford students and families by bringing my nearly 30 years’ Stamford Public Schools teaching experience to the BOE
Please complete this statement: The single most pressing issue facing my constituents is ____, and this is what I intend to do about it.
To provide the requisite skills and knowledge to students which prepares them for lifelong learning and success regardless of their chosen interest. I intend to advocate for students to explore the many choices the 21st century economy provides without saddling them with the debt that too often comes with a four-year degree.
What are the major differences between you and the other candidates seeking this post?
Teaching experience
If you are challenging an incumbent, in what way has the current officeholder failed the community?
I shall not claim any incumbent has failed our community; but; if elected, I shall be the only BOE member with teaching experience in Stamford and who shall bring a common sense approach to student learning.
What other issues do you intend to address during your campaign?
Over the years, our major physical assets, that is, the school buildings and grounds themselves have suffered. Where is the accountability to our taxpayers who bare the costs?
What accomplishments in your past would you cite as evidence you can handle this job?
Both successful teaching and corporate careers have provided me the required background to serve well Stamford students, their families and all stakeholders of our community.
