The promotions were formalized during a recent swearing-in ceremony at the Stamford Government Center.

STAMFORD, CT — The Stamford Fire Department has filled two key leadership roles following the promotion of Victor Rella from deputy chief to assistant chief of volunteers, and Christopher Repp from deputy fire marshal to chief fire marshal, according to an announcement from the SFD.

The promotions were formalized during a swearing-in ceremony on Tuesday at the Stamford Government Center. Mayor Caroline Simmons administered the oath of office, with family members of both appointees in attendance.

Rella joined Stamford Fire shortly thereafter and rose through the ranks, most recently leading the department’s training division.

Repp has been with the SFD since 2002 and joined the Fire Marshal’s Office in 2018. He has played a central role in fire prevention, code enforcement, and fire investigation, the SFD said.

Before his time in Stamford, Repp served as a volunteer firefighter in Westchester County, NY, for over three decades.
