Stamford Firefighter Injured In 2-Alarm Blaze: FD
Units were called to the home shortly after 5 a.m. Wednesday, according to fire officials.
STAMFORD, CT — Stamford firefighters battled a two-alarm blaze at a home on Camelot Court in Springdale early Wednesday morning, according to fire officials.
A firefighter was taken to the hospital for the treatment of a minor injury, the Stamford Fire Departmet said.
Additionally, the sole occupant of the home, who was asleep at the time of the fire but alerted by a smoke detector, was displaced by the fire and is being helped by the American Red Cross.

Units were called to the home shortly after 5 a.m. Wednesday, fire officials said, noting there was "a significant volume of fire" in the garage area.
"Due to the configuration of the home, fire extended upward into the living space above the garage requiring multiple hose lines to confine and extinguish," SFD Deputy Chief Eric Lorenz said in a news release.

The fire was placed under control around 6:30 a.m. The Stamford Fire Marshal's Office is investigating.
