Stamford Fireworks Date Changed Due To Weather

STAMFORD, CT — City officials said the date of the 2019 Stamford Independence Day Firework Celebration has been changed. The celebration, which was scheduled for Saturday, will now take place on the Sunday, July 7 rain date.

According to the city website, Saturday's event has been cancelled due to the weather forecast, which calls for isolated strong to severe thunderstorms.

The festivities are still set to begin at 6 p.m., while the fireworks show will begin promptly at 9 p.m.
