Stamford Garden Club Celebrates 50 Years Of Caring For Goodbody Garden

The garden is located in Fort Stamford Park at 900 Westover Road.

STAMFORD, CT — The Stamford Garden Club recently celebrated 50 years of caring for the Goodbody Garden in Fort Stamford Park.

"Fifty years ago, in anticipation of the 1976 bicentennial, the city of Stamford asked The Stamford Garden Club to help resurrect and maintain the Goodbody Garden," the club said in a news release. "Since then, club members have cared for the garden from early spring to late fall, and it has become a showcase for perennials, shrubs and trees native to our area. A Smithsonian-designated garden that is open to the public, it’s located in Fort Stamford Park at 900 Westover Road."
