Stamford Homicide Victim ID Released, Suspects Sought: Police
Stamford police are asking for the public's help identifying suspects in a homicide investigation.
STAMFORD, CT — Police have released new details in a homicide investigation launched this week following the death of a man in Stamford over the weekend.
Police identified the victim as Isaias Sagastume-Aceituno, 37, of Stamford. (To sign up for Stamford breaking news alerts and more, click here.)
According to police, an officer was flagged down around 9 p.m. Sunday by a concerned resident reporting a man down on the sidewalk. The officer located the man with multiple stab wounds along the 100 block of Stillwater Avenue, police said.

"Stamford fire and EMS [crews] responded and administered aid to the victim, however the victim succumbed to [his] injuries and was pronounced deceased by paramedics," police said.
On Tuesday, police said investigators determined Sagastume-Aceituno was among a group inside Reyes Bar and Restaurant, located on Stillwater Avenue.

At one point, the group moved outside and Sagastume-Aceituno got into a struggle with two men who assaulted him, police said.
Sagastume-Aceituno was "repeatedly stabbed" during the struggle, police said. He then walked away from the restaurant and collapsed, police said.
"Investigators have obtained still photos of the suspects, but at this point have not identified who they are," police said. "The Stamford Police Department is asking for the public's assistance in identifying the suspects involved in this homicide."
