Stamford Hospital Nurse Stole Painkillers, State Regulators Say
She reportedly has been disciplined by the state Board of Examiners for Nursing.

STAMFORD, CT — A Stamford Hospital nurse recently had her license suspended by the state Board of Examiners for Nursing after she was found to have stolen the painkiller Dilaudid from more than 20 patients, reports Connecticut Health I-Team.
Elmont, NY resident Kerrisha Stacy-Ann Hurd was a nurse in the hospital's Post Anesthesia Care Unit when she stole the medication over a three-month period earlier this year, writes I-Team's Kate Farrish.
Additionally, Hurd was discovered to have opiates in her system after she fainted on the job and was taken to the emergency room, where staff found a bloody syringe in her uniform pocket.
