Stamford Jewelry Store Robbery Conspirator Sentenced
More than $250,000 worth of Rolex watches were stolen.

STAMFORD, CT — A Detroit man was sentenced to three years of prison for his part in a smash-and-grab robbery at a Stamford jewelry store in November 2014.
Brandon Qauinton, 23, was also sentenced to three years of supervised release.
Dajuhn Griffin stole a Stamford resident's SUV and drove with Quainton, Richard Mathew Bailey and Brian Moore to the mall during normal business hours, according to the U.S. Attorney District of Connecticut Office.

Quainton stayed in the vehicle while Griffin, Bailey and Moore smashed jewelry cases at Sidney Thomas Jewelers and stole more than $250,000 of Rolex watches.
Quainton and Moore organized the robbery, according to the U.S. Attorney District of Connecticut office. He pleaded guilty to one count of interfering with commerce by robbery.

Bailey, Griffin and Moore pleaded guilty to the same charge and received various sentences ranging from 24 months to 51 months imprisonment.
