Stamford Man Accused Of Driving High In New York
New York State Police said they removed 15 impaired drivers from public roadways over the March 9 weekend.
BEDFORD, NY — New York State Police in Troop K said they removed 15 impaired drivers from public roadways over the March 9 weekend. Three were Connecticut residents: one from Stamford and two from Danbury.
On March 8, State Police from SP Somers arrested Tyrik E. Carr, 21, of Stamford, CT, for DWAI Drugs. He was traveling on Interstate 684 in the town of Bedford, when he was stopped for a vehicle and traffic law violation. Investigation revealed that he was impaired by drugs, police alleged.
On March 9, State Police from SP East Fishkill arrested Anthony J. Bellantoni, 27, of Danbury, CT, for Aggravated DWI. He was traveling on Interstate 684 in the town of Southeast, when he was stopped for a vehicle and traffic law violation. Investigation revealed that he was impaired by alcohol, police said.

On March 10, State Police from SP Somers arrested Edwin J. Galeas Carrasco, 39, of Danbury, CT, for Aggravated DWI. He was traveling on Interstate 684 in the town of Southeast, when he was stopped for a vehicle and traffic law violation. Investigation revealed that he was impaired by alcohol, police alleged.
