Arrest Made In Connection With March Death Of Stamford Man: Police
The body of a 21-year-old Stamford resident was found in Boccuzzi Park in March. On Tuesday, police announced an arrest in the case.
STAMFORD, CT — A Stamford man was arrested Tuesday in connection with the March 2023 death of a 21-year-old West Side resident, according to the Stamford Police Department.
Abraham Talbert, 22, was arrested on a charge of murder at his Gregory Street home around 2 p.m. on Tuesday, police said in a news release.
Talbert is currently being held on a $1 million court-set bond. If he is unable to make bond, he'll be arraigned in Stamford Superior Court on Wednesday, police noted.

On the afternoon of March 20, the body of Jaquan Tahir Saez was found by a passerby at John J. Boccuzzi Park, which is located at 200 Southfield Ave., police said.
At the time, police called the death of Saez "suspicious." He had been reported missing by his family, and police were investigating the disappearance when his body was found.

The SPD's Major Crimes Unit embarked on a three-and-a-half month long investigation which culminated in "a significant amount of video and forensic evidence," police said in a news release.
"The investigation determined that a physical altercation took place resulting in Talbert killing Saez while the two were in the park during the early morning hours of March 19," police said in a news release. "The Stamford Police Department would like to commend the numerous officers involved in this lengthy investigation and express our sincerest condolences to the family of Jaquan Tahir Saez."
