Stamford Man Enters Wrong Apartment, Calls Woman His Mom: PD

STAMFORD, CT — Acity woman was startled to say the least when she awoke to a strange man in her bedroom Tuesday night that kept calling her "mom," according to police.

The incident happened at a Tresser Building apartment and the man reportedly kissed her on the cheek, according to the Stamford Advocate.

He then tried to open a brief case and eventually left after the woman gave him $2 for cigarettes, police said. Manuel Mercardo, 49, was charged with burglary and disorderly conduct.
