Stamford Man Found Guilty of Plotting Murder of Wife's Lover

The plot involved recruiting someone to kill a Greenwich man and the recruit turned out to be an undercover Greenwich police officer.

A Stamford businessman has been found guilty of hatching a plot five years ago to kill his wife’s lover a Greenwich resident.

A six-member jury rendered the guilty verdict for Miguel Juarez, 53, of Stamford, on Thursday after a day of deliberations on charges of conspiracy to commit murder and attempted murder, according to The Advocate. Juarez is scheduled to be sentence on June 30 when he could receive a maximum 40-year jail sentence.

Juarez was accused of having a former employee of his landscaping business recruit an assassin who turned out to be an undercover Greenwich Police officer. The plan was to kill William Forte, a Greenwich man who was reportedly having an affair with Juarez’s wife.
