St Jacques was arrested about a week after the Sept. 9 robbery of a 27-year-old autistic man who was walking to the Stamford Town Center to buy video games with birthday money his family had given to him. St Jacques can be seen in security surveillance video approaching the victim who showed him the money. St Jacques took the money, then pretended to put it back in the victim’s pocket and before fleeing.

An outpouring of support from the community and Stamford Police culminated with the collection of about $1,300 that was given to the victim.
