Stamford Man Threw Objects At Car In Road Rage Incident In Darien: State Police
The reporting party told police that a driver shouted "I'm going to kill you" during a road rage incident last December, a warrant said.
STAMFORD, CT — A 24-year-old Stamford man accused of throwing objects at another vehicle during a road rage incident while driving on I-95 in Darien last December was arrested on March 9, according to the Connecticut State Police.
Pasquale F. Bruno was arrested on Sunday at approximately 9:55 a.m. after Waterbury police officers came into contact with him and discovered he had an active arrest warrant stemming from the road rage incident that was reported to Troop G in Bridgeport on Dec. 27, 2024, state police said in a news release.
Bruno was charged with objects not to be thrown at motor vehicles; reckless driving; third-degree criminal mischief; and second-degree threatening.

According to an arrest warrant application for Bruno, a Connecticut State Trooper responded to the I-95 Southbound Darien rest area shortly before 1:30 p.m. on Dec. 27, 2024, to meet with a driver who reported a road rage incident.
The reporting party told police they were traveling south on I-95 when two vehicles - a gray Hyundai and a white Infiniti Q50 - were "driving erratically utilizing the shoulder to travel."

In an attempt to avoid the vehicles, the reporting party said in a written statement they tried moving over to the right lane and then the left lane.
The Infiniti pulled up next to the reporting party on the passenger side and the driver threw a water bottle out of the window, striking the reporting party's car, according to the arrest warrant.
"The operator of the white Infiniti also threw another unknown object at my vehicle making contact again with the passenger side of my car. The operator of the white Infiniti then approached the driver side of my car and began screaming out the window 'I'm going to kill you,'" the reporting party said in a written statement, noting that the driver of the Hyundai then tried to overtake their lane and cut them off.

The reporting party provided police with a dash camera footage of the incident.
State Trooper Austin Calamita said the registration of the Infiniti came back to Bruno, and a DMV photo matched the appearance of the driver seen in the dash camera footage.
On Jan. 1, Calamita said he tried to make contact with Bruno but was unsuccessful. An arrest warrant was applied for and ultimately granted
Bruno was released on a $10,000 court-set bond and is scheduled to appear in Stamford Superior Court on March 31.
