Stamford To Mark 25th Anniversary Of 9/11 With Remembrance Ceremony

STAMFORD, CT — Stamford will mark 25 years since the Sept. 11, 2001, terror attacks with a remembrance ceremony scheduled for Friday, Sept. 11, at 7 p.m.

The ceremony will be hosted by the Stamford Fire Department at the Woodside Fire Station at 1620 Washington Blvd.

"Join us as we come together to honor and remember the lives lost on September 11, 2001, and pay tribute to the courage and sacrifice of the first responders who answered the call that day," a social media post from Stamford police said. "The public is warmly invited to attend. We encourage members of our community to stand together with our police, fire, EMS, and other public safety personnel as we remember, honor, and never forget."

Beginning at 6:30 p.m., the southbound lanes of Washington Boulevard will be closed for on-street parking.
