Stamford Mayor Caroline Simmons Tests Positive For COVID-19
Simmons' office on Monday announced that she tested positive for COVID-19.

STAMFORD, CT — Stamford Mayor Caroline Simmons tested positive for COVID-19 on Monday, according to Lauren Meyer, a special assistant to the mayor.
Meyer said Simmons is "feeling well" and will work from home this week. Simmons is vaccinated and boosted against COVID-19, Meyer said.
Simmons was scheduled to take part in a ceremony Monday morning at the Stamford Government Center to announce the recipients of the 2023 Stamford Arts and Culture Grant.

Arts and Culture Program Manager Aaron Miller, who also serves as a special assistant to Simmons, announced late Sunday night the event was postponed "due to unforeseen circumstances (COVID-19)."
Simmons, along with her husband Art Linares, tested positive for the virus in April 2022.
