Stamford PD Charges Teen Dad in Baby Bite Case

The 18-year-old suspect is accused of biting his 6-week-old daughter.

A Stamford teenage father is facing charges that he bit his six-week-old daughter in an attempt to stop her crying.

Felipe Deaquino, 18, of Hope Street, was arrested Jan. 7 on two counts of third-degree assault, risk of injury to a child and disorderly conduct, according to a report and the Connecticut Judicial Branch website. He was released after posting a total of $35,000 bond and his arraignment Thursday in state Superior Court in Stamford, according to the Judicial Branch records.

Stamford Police told The Advocate the arrest followed the department receiving a report of possible child abuse from the state Department of Children and Families. Officers found the baby and its mother with injuries and the suspect was later found and admitted to biting the baby‘s face to make her stop crying, according to The Advocate report that can be found here.
