Stamford Peace to Host 2nd Annual Invitational Basketball Tourney

Nationally ranked teams are scheduled to play in the AAU Boys tournament this weekend.

This weekend the Stamford Peace Basketball Club is hosting its second annual “In the Name of Peace” 14U/8th Grade AAU Boys Invitational Basketball Tournament at Westhill High School.

Games begin at 10 a.m. Saturday and Sunday.

Last year, the inaugural tournament saw high-level competition from nationally ranked teams, the PSA Cardinals and the Boston Bobcats. The level of play was off the charts with some saying it was the best middle school boys’ basketball they had ever seen. This year the “In the Name of Peace” Invitational is sure to be action packed with a very strong lineup of eight high caliber teams from the New York tri-state area and Boston.
