Stamford Police Officer Faces Charge After Argument
The officer is accused of placing his wife in a headlock.

An argument between a veteran Stamford Police officer and his wife has resulted in the officer’s arrest and his entering an inpatient program for alcohol treatment, according to a report.
Officer Silas Redd Sr., 54, of Norwalk, was arrested after his wife reported to Stamford Police that he placed her in a headlock during an argument outside a Stamford pizzeria on Jan. 17, according to The Hour.
Redd was charged with second-degree breach of peace. The case against him has been continued until March 3 so he can receive alcohol treatment, according to the report.

Redd has been ordered not to contact his wife and was ordered to surrender his service weapon and any other weapons he has, according to the report that can be found here.
