Stamford Police Seek Witnesses to ATV Crash That Critically Injured a City Resident

The crash occurred late Thursday night.

Witnesses are being sought for the late Thursday crash between an all-terrain vehicle and a car in downtown Stamford that critically injured the ATV driver.

The Stamford Police Department’s Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Squad (CARS) is investigating the crash of 2002 four-wheel Honda 300cc quad ATV with a 2013 Kia Rio sedan on Grove Street at Broad Street that occurred at 10:15 p.m. March 5, according to police.

The ATV was southbound on Grove Street and the Kia was eastbound on Broad Street when the quad struck the driver side rear corner of the Kia, police said in a statement The quad flipped and the operator was ejected onto Grove Street.

The quad operator is identified as 51-year-old Stamford resident Mark Jagodzinski who was taken by Stamford Emergency Medical Service to Stamford Hospital where is listed in critical condition, according to WTNH.

C.A.R.S. is asking for assistance from the public in locating any witnesses to the collision and asks they contact Officers Richard Dabrowski or Jeffrey Booth at 203-977-4712.
