Stamford Polling Places For Aug. 17 Special Election
The special election to fill the 36th State Senate District seat will take place on Aug, 17.
STAMFORD, CT — The special election for the 36th District State Senate seat will take place on Aug. 17. The district covers all of Greenwich and a portion of Stamford and New Canaan.
The election features three candidates, all Greenwich residents: Ryan Fazio (Republican), Alexis Gevanter (Democrat), and John Blankley (unaffiliated). Alex Kasser, a Democrat, suddenly resigned from the post in June. The term runs through the end of 2022.
Polling places in Stamford will be open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. If you are in line at 8 p.m., you're allowed to vote. To register to vote, click here. For more information on absentee ballots, click here.
