Stamford Pride Announces Pride Month Calendar Of Events
Here are details on upcoming Pride Month activities in Stamford.
STAMFORD, CT — Stamford Pride has announced their annual Pride Month calendar of events.
This upcoming month’s activities feature both family-friendly and age appropriate events in hopes to raise positive support, awareness, and visibility for the LGBTQIA+ communities throughout Stamford and Fairfield County, Stamford Pride said in a news release.
"We are very excited to have the opportunity to work with our community partners and sponsors on several Pride events and activities this year. We are incredibly thankful for the outreach of so many to partner with us," said Stamford Pride Vice President Kristen Stiles in a news release. "Our hope is that by providing safe, friendly and fun programming for the community, we can continue to uphold our mission as a nonprofit organization that engages, inspires, supports and celebrates LGBTQIA+ members and allies through initiatives that educate, connect, and enrich our diverse community."

After a successful flag raising with Mayor Carolune Simmons as well as the traditional lighting of Old Town Hall in Pride light colors on May 31 to kick off Pride month, Stamford Pride will be hosting two drag brunches at Towne Parlor on June 9.
In partnership with local community organizations and sponsors, other featured events include the Pride Booth with Drag Story Hour at The Ferguson Library; a free viewing of the movie "PRIDE" at the Avon Theatre as part of the theater's "Movies That Build Community!" program; the launch of a Young Adult Program (ages 18-24); the annual Rainbow Rave Dance - free for current and incoming high school students of Fairfield County at the FISH Church; Pride in the Pews at First Congregational Church; Speed Friending at Towne Parlor, and more.
