Stamford Public Schools Announces New Administrative Appointments
All of the administrative appointments have been made from within the school district.
STAMFORD, CT —Superintendent of Stamford Public Schools Dr. Tamu Lucero announced new administrative appointments around the district on Wednesday.
"Stamford Public Schools is fortunate to have such an accomplished, inspiring, and dedicated team stepping into new administrative roles here in our district," Lucero said in a news release from the district. "To a one they are beloved, respected and admired by their colleagues, and most important, their students. All have extensive experience as classroom teachers and have made significant contributions to their learning communities. I continue to expect great work from these leaders, and know that they will not disappoint."
All of the administrative appointments have been made from within the school district. The following are effective Aug. 1.

Angela Asaro was appointed as an interim associate superintendent for research and policy. She previously served as principal of Stillmeadow Elementary School.
Replacing Asaro at Stillmeadow, on an interim basis, is Kathleen Kelley. Kelley has been the assistant principal at Davenport Ridge Elementary since 2017, the district said.

Melissa Fano-Dropick was named interim assistant principal at Davenport. Fano-Dropick previously worked as a teacher leader for student support at the school.
Charles Langworth will be the assistant principal at Rippowam Middle School. Langworth was the math instructional coach at Rippowam. He joined SPS in 1997.
Lastly, Jamie Fisco was named principal at K.T. Murphy Elementary School. Fisco served in an interim role since July 2023. She joined the school district in 2005 as a special education teacher at Stillmeadow.
Fisco's appointment is effective immediately, the district noted.
