Knight fills the position recently vacated by the transfer of Crystal Perry to Stamford High School as assistant principal. The second position at Dolan, as well as the added assistant principal at Turn of River, were created as the result of a recent budget reallocation, replacing the teacher leader for student support positions with certified assistant principal positions, the school district said in a news release.
Most recently, Knight served as teacher leader for student support at Dolan Middle School and district content leader for music. Previously, he was a music teacher at Stark Elementary School. Knight holds a bachelor's degree in music education from SUNY Potsdam, a master's in music education from the University of Bridgeport and a Sixth Year Degree in educational administration and leadership from the University of Bridgeport.
