The mission of the welcome center is to "engage all families in our diverse school system by serving as an inclusive gateway providing essential services and fostering a community through a collaborative partnership where every family feels welcomed, connected, supported, and empowered to navigate the educational journey," the school district said in a news release.
Various speakers at the ribbon-cutting ceremony emphasized that the center's creation was only possible thanks to the dedication and hard work of the larger Stamford community and the commitment of numerous SPS staff members and community partners who continue to go above and beyond for all families.
