STAMFORD, CT — A Stamford resident recently hit it big thanks to some luck and the Connecticut Lottery.
According to the Connecticut Lottery, an anonymous Stamford resident won $10,000 after playing the $100,000 Cashword 12 scratch-off game. The winning ticket was purchased at Nikita's Value Mart, located at 455 W.Main St.

There are just 82 $10,000 winners out of over 5 million tickets, the CT Lottery website says. The ticket costs $10, and the grand prize is $100,000.
