Stamford Resident Wins Big Prize From Mega Millions Game: CT Lottery

STAMFORD, CT — A Stamford resident is now $30,000 richer thanks to some luck and the Connecticut Lottery.

The local resident won the big prize after playing the Mega Millions game. The winning ticket was purchased at the rest stop on the Merritt Parkway in Greenwich, according to the CT Lottery.

Mega Millions is a multi-state game with a minimum jackpot of $20 million.

The CT Lottery has changed its policy on announcing winners by not including the winners’ full names on the list in order to protect them from potential scams, according to officials.
