The Stamford Republican Town Committee elected a new chairman and vice chairman last week.

STAMFORD, CT — Last week, the Stamford Republican Town Meeting elected new officers.

Joshua Esses, who is a lawyer and also a member of the Stamford Board of Education, was unanimously elected as the RTC's new chairman.

"Stamford deserves two vibrant parties. We are going to give it to them," Esses said in a news release. "We will provide a thoughtful alternative to the one-party rule that has plagued our city and state for the last decade."
