Stamford Schools Ends AFB Contract
The BOE decided to end its relationship with AFB amid a local and FBI investigation.

STAMFORD, CT — For the first time in nearly 20 years the city school system will have a new facility management company.
The Board of Education voted 7-0 to award a new contract to ABM, a large company with thousands of clients, according to the Stamford Advocate.
AFB Construction Management held Stamford's contract for a long time. The company is now under police and FBI investigation after it was alleged that CEO Al Barbarotta used his position to extort money from another contractor. The investigation is pending.
