Stamford Schools Make Decision on Thursday Schedule

STAMFORD, CT — Stamford Public Schools will be cancelled Thursday.

Below is more information from the town regarding the snow storm

Snow Emergency

During the Snow Emergency, Snow Emergency Routes are to be kept clear of cars. Snow Emergency Routes are clearly marked with red and white signage. Vehicles will be ticketed and towed while the snow emergency is in effect. All City Garages will be open and free to residents for the duration of the Snow Emergency. For a complete list of designated snow routes, visit StamfordCT.gov.

City Garages are located at:

- Bedford Street Garage – 17 Forest Street

- Bell Street Garage – 28 Bell Street

- Summer Street Garage – 100 Summer Street

Stamford Public Schools

Superintendent Earl Kim has announced that all schools will be closed tomorrow (Thursday). And all afterschool activities will be cancelled.

Hurricane Barrier

The Hurricane Barrier will likely be manned by the Army Corps of Engineers. They will make a decision about closing the Hurricane Barrier based on storm information closer to when the storm hits.

Well-Clinic on Henry Street

The clinic will be closed tomorrow.

Stamford’s Alternate Parking Rules

To provide adequate maneuvering space for snow removal equipment on some of our narrower streets (see those designated below), alternate side parking rules will be in effect.

Tomorrow, February 9th, parking will be allowed on the odd-numbered side of the street and restricted on the even-numbered side of the street until 8am the following day (February 10th).
